Practical AI for consultants and fractional executives

One chore off your week. More time for clients.

Each Saturday I send you the Operator: one AI prompt you can copy to clear a chore, like a proposal draft or a follow-up.

What lands in your inbox on Saturday

Chase a proposal that went quiet

Ankush Chauhan

Saturday

The chore: you sent a proposal ten days ago and heard nothing back.

The prompt:

I sent a proposal to [client name] on [date] for [what the work is], priced at [price]. They have not replied. Write a follow-up email under 80 words. Do not apologise for following up. Ask one yes-or-no question they can answer in a single line, and offer a 15-minute call to walk through it. Keep my tone [plain / warm / formal].

Five minutes:

  1. Fill in the brackets.
  2. Paste it into ChatGPT or Claude.
  3. Cut any line you would not say out loud.
  4. Send it from your own inbox.

Check before you send: the price and scope in the email are the ones you actually quoted, not ones the AI made up.
